What to include in a laser-cutting drawing
A practical checklist for a clear cutting inquiry.
Start with the finished part
Provide one clearly identified part per drawing where possible. Include revision, units, overall dimensions and any features critical to assembly.
Specify material and thickness
Include the exact material grade, sheet or wall thickness, quantity and any finish requirement. These should be agreed during quotation.
Share useful files
A clean DXF is useful for flat cutting contours. A dimensioned PDF or image helps explain tolerances and notes. Upload JPG, PNG, PDF or DXF here. You can include a DXF and dimensioned PDF together. If you also have STEP or IGES files for formed or complex parts, contact our team by email to arrange their review.
Check before sending
Remove duplicate contours, indicate which lines are cuts and identify any information still open for discussion. The original engineering document remains the reference during technical review.
