Custom Scraper Blade Profile Blanks

Cut-to-drawing scraper profiles supplied as blanks for OEM or toolmaking work. Identify the material condition and finishing allowance; heat treatment, straightening and precision grinding are separate requirements for a finished working blade.

Scraper Blade Blanks: dimensions and quotation parameters.

The dimensions below help us review scraper blade blanks. State units and critical tolerances on the original drawing. The illustration explains the type of geometry; it does not define a standard size.

Quotation parameters for Scraper Blade Blanks
Blank outline and lengthDimension the profile and identify which edges are mounting edges and which become working edges.
Mounting holes and slotsProvide sizes, datum-based positions and any finishing allowance.
Material and hardness conditionSpecify alloy, supplied condition and whether heat treatment is included or performed later.
Working-edge allowanceState blank thickness, grind allowance, final blade angle and any straightness requirements.
Material & quantityGive the exact metal grade, standard, temper or condition, quantity per revision and planned repeat orders.
Units & tolerancesUse mm or inches consistently. Mark the dimensions that control fit and the inspection datum.
Scraper Blade Blanks qualitative geometry and dimension reference
Scraper Blade Blanks · qualitative geometry reference. Not to scale, not a production drawing.

Thickness range, minimum features, tolerances, finish availability and delivery date are reviewed for your actual part. No catalog dimension or blanket machining tolerance is implied.

What we review
before cutting.

Cut contours, hole function and the way the plate meets its mating parts.

Delivery stage

List blank-only, heat-treated or finished-ground delivery explicitly. Cutting does not create the final blade hardness or sharpened working edge.

Finishing sequence

Agree machining and grinding allowances, heat-treatment responsibility and final inspection before quotation. Food-contact requirements, if applicable, need separate confirmation.

Material and finish
belong in the drawing.

Grade, environment and visible-face requirements are separate specification choices. Include them before quotation so the material and process route can be reviewed together.

Specify the grade

Provide the blade alloy and its required supplied or heat-treated condition. Wear resistance and working-edge hardness depend on the approved material and treatment specification, not simply on using stainless steel.

Compare material families and grades. Sourcing, product form and the processing route are confirmed for your drawing.

Define the finished surface

Specify the delivered surface condition and identify any coating, grinding, plating or masking requirements. Mark roughness and the faces or edges that need protection so the complete route can be reviewed.

Specify edge deburring, protective-film handling and packing if they affect the delivered part. Read the finish terminology guide.

Material options are reviewed against your drawing, grade, thickness and finishing needs. Stainless steel remains our core focus; sourcing and the manufacturing route are confirmed during quotation.

Inspect the features
that matter to your assembly.

Check blank outline, mounting features, thickness and finishing allowance. Hardness, straightness and edge geometry are inspected only to the agreed delivered-stage requirements.

Provide the inspection datum, critical dimensions and any requested records with the inquiry. A model preview supports communication; the approved engineering drawing remains the manufacturing reference.

Quality & material requirements

Scraper Blade Blanks:
common questions.

Is the supplied blank ready for scraping?

Blank supply is unfinished unless the quotation explicitly includes the required heat treatment and working-edge grinding.

Can I specify the final blade angle?

Yes. Include angle, edge thickness, hardness and surface requirements so the finishing operations and delivery stage can be reviewed.

What should I send for a quotation?

Send your scraper blade blanks drawing, grade, thickness or tube section, quantity, finish and critical dimensions. A clear PDF or image is accepted for review; a DXF supports flat cutting contours.

Can I request prototypes and production batches?

Include prototype quantity and expected repeat quantity in the inquiry. Batch size, process route and lead time are confirmed after the drawing and specification review.
